GWM Ute Cannon guides: Overview Service schedule Problems Recalls (GWM)

Two engines, two regimes — find your engine first, then the “CY” column for the year your car’s warranty started.

Prices AUD from GWM Australia’s official Capped Price Service sheet for the Ute Cannon (archived 20 August 2026, sha256 on record); both tables come from that one document, and the column headings are spelled as it spells them. Every figure on it carries an asterisk marking it as the maximum payable for standard scheduled servicing — a ceiling rather than a fixed quote, which makes our totals ceilings too (the totals are our arithmetic, verified programmatically). “CY” = Customer Year, set by your car’s warranty start date — and the sheet defines CY 2025 in two ways: its price tables give “01/01/2025 - 31/12/2025”, closed at both ends, while its terms page says a CY 2025 vehicle has a warranty start date “on or after 1st January 2025 (01/01/2025)”, open forward. CY 2026 is “on or after 01/01/2026”. So for a car whose warranty started in 2026, the two definitions point to different columns in both tables, and those columns differ by up to $20 a service on the 2.0L and up to $15 on the 2.4T: ask your GWM dealer which column applies before you pay. The 2.4T table prints no CY 2024 column at all, and the document does not say why. The 2.0L’s capped coverage ends at just 45,000 km — a high-mileage tradie exits the program in under three years. The 2.4T’s program window is tighter: only 2 months/2,000 km late before it voids.

⚠ The program-voiding window applies: present the car within the official eligibility window around each interval or capped pricing is void permanently — full rule here.
Correction note: We corrected what sets the service price tier: not the first registration date, but the warranty start date, which GWM calls the “Customer Year”. We also added that GWM’s sheet defines CY 2025 in two ways, which can point a car whose warranty started in 2026 to a different price column. See our corrections log.
Disclaimer: Information on this page is general guidance only and does not replace the manufacturer’s official documentation or the judgement of a qualified technician. Prices change over time. GWM’s sheets define the Customer Year by the warranty start date, and the price that applies is the one current when the car was first registered — always confirm your own vehicle’s sheet with your GWM dealer.
