GWM Haval Jolion guides: Overview Service schedule Running costs Problems Parts Parts: oil filter Recalls (GWM)

GWM does something rare: it publishes exactly what’s inside every service — so this page can too. The interval pattern is unusual: first service at 12 months/10,000 km, then every 12 months/15,000 km (25, 40, 55, 70 thousand). Prices depend on two dates, not your car’s model year: its warranty start date, which GWM calls the “Customer Year” (two price tiers), and its build date (a third tier, for cars built in September 2025 or after). And one rule outranks everything: miss the service window and the capped program is void for good.

⚠ The eligibility window (from GWM’s T&Cs): a Jolion must be presented no more than 1 month / 2,000 km before or 3 months / 3,000 km after each scheduled interval. Outside that window, “the Program will not apply to the GWM Vehicle” — permanently. Servicing early also drags every future interval forward. No other brand we document has a condition this sharp: diarise your services.
GWM / Haval: the service window that kills the program When each capped-price service must happen — months relative to the scheduled interval service due eligibility window up to 1 mo / 2,000 km early up to 3 mo / 3,000 km late too early: outside window too late: outside window −1 mo due +1 mo +2 mo +3 mo Miss the window once → the capped-price program is void — permanently. Servicing early also drags every future interval forward. Data: GWM Australia Capped Price Servicing T&Cs, archived Aug 2026 (sha256 on record) · Chart: dragonautoguide.com

The Jolion S / New Jolion Ultra petrol has its own (cheapest) sheet: $200–$430 (CY≤2024, total $1,430) rising to $235–$535 (built ≥9/2025, total $1,760). All prices AUD from GWM Australia’s official CPS documents (archived 20 August 2026; sha256 on record). Totals are our arithmetic. Two identically-specced Jolions can carry bills $330 apart purely on their dates: the petrol Premium/Lux with a warranty start date in 2024 or before costs $1,550 over five services, and one built in September 2025 or after costs $1,880. Check both dates before budgeting. GWM’s T&Cs do mention registration: the price that applies is “the Service Price that was current at the time when the Vehicle was first registered” (clause 9).

What’s actually in each service — from the official schedule

Auto transmission fluid + filterEvery 48 mo or 55,000 km, whichever comes first (HEV: hybrid DHT oil, same rule)
Engine coolantTwice across the long schedule
Brake fluidThree times across the long schedule
HEV extrasBattery SOH, box, and HV-connector inspections every service; high-voltage coolant replaced twice across the long schedule
Every visitBrakes, ball joints, leaks, lights, park brake, outstanding-recall check, road test

Summarised from GWM’s official per-item schedule (R = replace, C = check/clean, I = inspect; full 120-month table in the archived document). This is the first brand we cover that publishes its item-level schedule openly — credit where due. Excluded from capped prices: wear items (pads, wipers, belts), severe-duty extras.

Correction note: We corrected the spark-plug points of the petrol Jolion (Premium and Lux) and the high-voltage coolant changes of the HEV, now state GWM’s transmission-fluid rule, and say that plug changes after the fifth and last capped service fall outside capped pricing. We also corrected what sets the service price tier: not the first registration date, but the warranty start date, which GWM calls the “Customer Year”, and for the third tier the build date. See our corrections log.

Severe-duty clause

Repeated short trips, extended idling (taxi/rideshare), dusty or unsealed roads, frequent towing or heavy loads — GWM’s documents instruct shortened intervals and interim services for these, at your cost. If your Jolion lives on gravel, budget beyond the table above.
