GWM Haval Jolion guides: Overview Service schedule Running costs Problems Parts Parts: oil filter Recalls (GWM)

The Jolion is GWM’s bestselling small SUV — and its ownership paperwork holds two things we haven’t seen on any other brand: your service prices depend on your car’s warranty start date (GWM’s “Customer Year”) and its build date (three price tiers for the same car: two by warranty start date, one for cars built in September 2025 or after), and a service eligibility window that permanently voids the capped-price program if you turn up too late. Both are documented on the service schedule page, from GWM’s own official documents.

Which Jolion do I have?

Versions and service data from GWM Australia’s official Capped Price Service documents (archived, 20 August 2026). GWM Australia’s legal entity is HAVAL Motors Australia Pty Ltd — the Haval and GWM badges are one company.

Correction note: We corrected the spark-plug points of the petrol Jolion (Premium and Lux) and the high-voltage coolant changes of the HEV, and now state GWM’s transmission-fluid rule. We also corrected what sets the service price tier: not the first registration date, but the warranty start date, which GWM calls the “Customer Year”, and for the third tier the build date. GWM’s T&Cs do mention registration: the price that applies is “the Service Price that was current at the time when the Vehicle was first registered” (clause 9). That is how the registration date in the disclaimer at the foot of this page bears on the price. See our corrections log.

Warranty & program

GWM’s archived Australian warranty webpage states 7 years / unlimited km for private, ABN, General Fleet, National Fleet and Government use. It changes the limit to 7 years / 150,000 km, whichever occurs first when a vehicle is used at any time to carry paying passengers, including CPV, taxi, rideshare, hire-car or rental use. GWM’s linked warranty PDF uses a broader trigger: any commercial purpose, including but not limited to rental-car, hire-car, taxi or similar commercial use. These are two wordings from GWM itself; this page does not choose between them. Confirm the terms for your vehicle.

Warranty sources: GWM Australia’s GWM New Car Warranty webpage and linked Warranty Terms and Conditions PDF (archived 2 September 2026).

Capped-price servicing covers the first 5 services (to 70,000 km / 60 months) and transfers with the car when sold. What does not survive: missing the eligibility window — see the schedule page.

Fluids specifications are not published in GWM’s service documents (no oil grade is named anywhere in them) — per our editorial policy, a fluids guide follows only when we secure official fluid data. We say so rather than guess.
