The H6’s quiet advantage: the Green Vehicle Guide’s engine field reads 91RON for all four H6 entries below, where it reads 95RON for Chery’s Tiggo Super Hybrids and MG’s HS. Government figures: 5.2–5.4 L/100km for the hybrids, and 1.0–1.1 for the PHEV — all four on the older NEDC cycle, which we flag rather than hide.

Australian Government Green Vehicle Guide (our last review of the guide’s figures: 11 October 2026; the guide’s annual cost assumes 14,000 km/year and is based on “average retail fuel prices for the last quarter” for fuel and on “the latest average residential electricity prices” for electricity) and GWM’s official CPS documents (archived). Several GWM entries are NEDC-cycle — we flag them; NEDC flatters range and consumption.

†NEDC-cycle figures. All four H6 entries above — the hybrids as well as the plug-ins — are measured on the older NEDC cycle, which flatters both range and consumption versus WLTP-style figures. Compare like-for-like or not at all — and as with every PHEV we document: uncharged, it drinks like a hybrid while the servicing schedule rolls on regardless.

Correction note: This page said every H6 runs on 91 RON while rivals’ hybrids demand 95; it now says that is what the Green Vehicle Guide’s engine field reads, which is not a manufacturer requirement.
